PETRICHOR Eau de Toilette

The storm has passed. You can tell by the silence. It's not empty, but full. The kind that settles after the sky has finished saying everything it needed to say.

Petrichor. The Greeks named it: petra for stone, ichor for the blood of gods. The scent of rain meeting earth, of something ancient stirring awake. Tea and ozone rise first, clean and fleeting, aldehydes fading like the last flicker of lightning already miles away.

Then the air exhales. Cyclamen. Cardamom with its warmth. Green grasses bruised by the downpour, releasing everything they've been holding. Some of the rain clings to bark and wood. Some seeps deep into the soil, becoming memory, becoming history. And some rises slowly, evaporating against your skin like a lover's breath.

The base notes remain the longest, the way the earth does. Guaiac wood, or vetiver, rooted and dark. Tonka bean, sounds a little too familiar with a sigh.

This is the smell of aftermath. Of survival. Of standing in the wreckage and realizing you're still here. The storm has passed. At last.
