Little did I know
The musical flight of us lifting by a breeze
Will soon turning into an old tv buzzing scene
I was in the front seat
You are not watching with me
The white noise screamed
And my tears drained empty
Broken beyond repair
I reached out to touch our past's flair
But it refused to declare
Memories locked without a spare
So I walked down the worn stair
With two pairs of different footprints
Scattered traces of our despair
Destined to fade
Forgotten by the winter winds
Was I remembering you
Or the ugly ghost of mine
Was I loving you
Or the residual warmth of the coat
Or the us that once spread wings
Or the white snowflakes
Covering your back
When you were leading
